Counting Votes	There were 890 eligible voters for this election.  Of those 711 were primary resettlement individuals and 179 were secondary migration people.  There were 367 valid votes cast and approximately 12 ballots were rejected because they were not marked properly.  That means that less than half (43%) of the eligible voters cast ballots in this election. The members of the 2012 General Election Committee were Dhruva Rai-Chair, Hari Adhikari, Laxmi Dhungana, Prosutom Dhungana, Durga Ghimirey, Harka Gurung, Sunar Mani Kumar, Bhim Subba, N. B. Subba, Sancha Raj Subba, and Naresh Subba. General Election Committee volunteers included Purosotam Neopaney, Khadendra Subedi, Kabita Subba, Janga Thapa, Tara Dhungana, Champha Subba, Lachhi Subba, Mangali Subba, Som Subba, Ramesh Adhikari, Paras Bhattari, Dipa Mishra, Sarita Basnet, and Dukula Katel. There were two outside observers, Mingmar T. Lama and Terry L. Kuhn, who watched the counting and signed the final tally papers.

Early Voting

For the convenience of those voters who cannot make it on the electin day on July 28, a provision has been made so that they can vote early.  They can cast their vote the previous day on July 27 from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Coordinator(s) place in their election center.

Ballot Paper

A ballot paper will consist of a color photo of each candidate.  All candidates are hereby requested to please send a copy of their most recent passport size photo by July 24 midnight to Naresh Subba t the following address: naresh.subba1Wgmail.com  Or photos can be taken to Family Groceries on Tuesday July 24 during the store hours (10 AM to 7 PM) and meet with Naresh Subba to get your picture taken.

Volunteers Wanted

From 3 to 5 volunteers are required to each election center to help in conducting election smoothly and successfully.  This is an opportunity for those youths out there who are willing to contribute for the cause of the community and build their social skills and resume at the same time.  If you are interested, please contact your area coordinator.
